I derive most pleasure from landscape painting. When painting I try to distance myself from everyday concerns, through a range of techniques, many Eastern, including Tai Chi. I do this so that in freeing my mind, my work may become an extension of happiness and calm.
- Born: Sligo, Ireland, in 1941.
- Commenced painting in 1970.
- Studied in Ireland at the National College (NCAD) in Dublin and at the Irish School of Landscape Painting.
- Full time professional artist since 1977.
- Member of the Dublin Painting and Sketching Club.
- Member of the Water Colour Society of Ireland.
- Founder Member of the European Institute of Watercolours in 1988.
- Numerous solo exhibitions in Ireland, Brussels and Germany, since 1987.
